Any Help?
I managed to squeak by with 1 life left using Prayforme's strategy without the Hammer and am now stuck on silver tip coast. Yay!
Can you post a replay without using Thor's Hammer? also where do you get that?
Hi Fandom User 217.146.82.207
Thor's Hammer does give a player a definite edge in game play, but it is not the crucial element that determines whether you are successful or otherwise with a map like Ochre Woodland. There are certain tough maps in the game that require a minimum Card level grades to be successful. Of course, your skill level and strategy also play a part in it.
For Ochre Woodland, my belief is you need the following Cards at stated levels. Javelin 6+, Anti-Air 5+, Poison 7+, Mana Tower 6+, Tesla 6+, Artillery 5+, Froststorm 5+, Clarion Call 6+ and Thunder Moose 5+. Clearly, there are alternative Cards that can be used but again they will need to be at reasonably moderate to high level for success.
I will try and prepare a video without use of Thor's Hammer and Cards not fully upgraded for the benefit of players in your situation.
In terms of your question about where can you get hold of a Thor's Hammer, there are a number of avenues. You can get it from purchased Card Packs. Greatest chance lies with the Crazy Card Pack. Free options are from the Fortune Slots spins and full bar rewards. A further opportunity may have presented recently from future Invasion Events. Lastly, there is a slim possibility from a Milestone Event on Crazy Kings Facebook page. Participants have a chance of winning specified Cards at 17k, 18K, 19K and 20K Likes of the Crazy Kings Facebook page. Thor's Hammer is available at 19K Milestone. We are currently at around 16,750 Likes on the page.
For those interested in getting more details about this Event, here is the link to it on the Crazy Kings Facebook page.
Here is a video play as promised a few days ago for those still struggling with this level. Granted this play only produced a 2 Star finish, but it should allow you to continue making progress with the rest of the game.
I have dressed my Avatar with equipment that the average player reaching this stage of the game will likely have. It is probable that most of you will have Girdle of Pain in your collection but I have not deployed it. You should use the best equipment that you have in your collection.
In terms of Tower Cards, although mine are very high levelled, I only upgraded them partially to mimic lower levelled Cards. These were the upgrades made on each of the Tower Cards - Mana (0,2), Tesla (4,4), Javelin (3,3), Anti-Air (3,3) and Poison (3,3).
In terms of my Spell cards, there was no way of reducing their effects to lower versions of those Cards.
Looking back at the video, there are a number of times when I was late in deploying Clarion Call and Thunder Moose. I was too distracted with ensuring I was limiting my Tower upgrades to the stated list above. You should activate both these Spells as soon as they are available.
I hope this play inspires those who have been unable to even get 1 Star on this map to return back to it with renewed hope and vigour. For those that are struggling to get the third Star, you should just wait a little longer and return back when you have higher levelled Cards.
Good luck.
Ochre Woodland is definitely one of the toughest maps in the game. Most players have struggled on this one for long periods, including myself.
My advice is to just get through it with even 1 Star. Revisit it later with stronger Cards to pick up on remaining Stars. There are a number of challenging maps within the Orc region but this one surpasses all of them.
Don't hang up your boots on account of Ochre Woodland, it will become manageable once your Cards are further developed. Keep playing the Orc Arenas to collect Javelin and Anti-Air Cards. There are other useful Cards that you'll pick up from there while looking for these two, such as Mana Tower, Artillery and Thunder Moose.
Good luck.
