Abilities and Upgrades[]

The Poison Tower comes with two abilities eligible for upgrades on the battlefield: Concentrated Venom and Corrosive Fumes.

Concentrated Venom is available starting with Level 2 and improves poison damage, while Corrosive Fumes is available starting with Level 3 and counters any poison resistance by -30% with each upgrade for a total possible of -90%. It was believed that if the attacked units have no poison resistance, Corrosive Fumes will have no effect. This belief has subsequently been confirmed to be incorrect. In these circumstances Corrosive Fumes will have an effect but not at an enhanced rate.

As the Poison Tower Card levels up with the Card Upgrader, more upgrades will be available for both abilities. Concentrated Venom can be upgraded a total of 4 times and Corrosive Fumes can be upgraded 3 times.

Defensive Strategy[]

Poison Tower shares common features with the Pirate Tower. However, it's super effective against enemies that don't have poison resistance, especially in Bird Land, where only Bloodbeak Berserkers have 50% poison armor. None of the enemy units of the Slime Family have poison resistance, making the Poison Tower a fearsome force.

Poison Towers take a little time to deliver their full damage, so it's generally a good idea to place them at the start of the lanes, and combine them with a Slowdown Tower to capitalize on the excellent Area of Effect (AOE) damage.

Poison Towers can be weak at first, but after some Concentrated Venom upgrades (especially Level 3), it will be a formidable defender. If the enemies come in large numbers, upgrade your Poison Towers first, as it will guarantee a good amount of initial damage and leave the enemies weakened, so that other Towers can take them down.
